From the Classroom:Every year, students participate in art shows around the region and at our school. For the first time, students did not get a chance to participate in any shows. Art teachers hold onto work throughout the year, specifically to display during late winter & spring art shows that take place; including the district budget vote art show. We might not have the physical space, but we can use this space to showcase work students did all year. Enjoy. |

Georgia O'KeefeStudents learned about Georgia O'Keefe and were asked to paint a flower or plant in her style with a zoomed in perspective. Unfortunately, we left the classroom in the middle of this assignment and only a few finished.

There were a handful without names and I'm including many of them but they will be labeled as "Unknown." Students, if you see your work labeled as "Unknown," let me know and I can change it. Thanks-Ms. Steele

Still LifeStudents reviewed Still Life paintings from Carravagio, Paul Cezanne, and Vincent Van Gogh; then were challenged to create fruit and a vessel but could not create a "bowl of fruit." Students took on the challenge and came up with all sorts of fun vessels for their still life artwork.
